Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems, have revealed that she wants to join the movie industry in the near future.
She granted an interview with BBC Capital Xtra London recently, where she stated that she is already good in acting, and she knows the kind of character she wants to play.
“I’m ready to act in movies. Not ready right now, but I’m already good at acting. The first character I would love to play is a single mum. It doesn’t need to be struggling. It could be like a fun single mum or a single mum that has mysteries. A gangster,” she said.
She was born in Lagos in 1995, to a Nigerian mother and a British-Nigerian father, and left for England shortly after being born, before coming back to Nigeria when her parents got divorced.

While in school, she wrote music in her spare time, where she taught herself how to make beats by watching YouTube videos.
