Spanish La Liga BBVA club, Cadiz CF who welcomes Rayo Vallecano in today’s league game at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, is set to pay tribute to Mohbad.
This was revealed on the club’s official X page last night, where it was confirmed that Mohbad’s name will be displayed on their substitute bench during their game, while his age, 27 will be on the back of the jersey.
The fast rising singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Promise Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, has since gotten support from Nigerians, and the international community since his demise on the 12th of this month.
His death is shrouded in controversies, with many Nigerians seeking justice over his sudden death, following videos of intimation from a certain Sam Larry, who is a close friend to Mohbad’s former record label boss, Naira Marley.
Cadiz are 9th on the La Liga table, and they take on 7th-place Rayo Vallecano tonight by 8:30pm (Nigerian Time), in the new Spanish La Liga season.
