Popular Nollywood actress, Iniobong Edo Ekim granted an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo recently, where she said she wanted to become a lawyer or a newscaster while growing up.

Her mentor was late Tokunbo Ajayi of NTA, who was found died in her living room, in London, England on August 18, 2000.

Ini Edo, who never really wanted to be an actress, bagged a diploma in theatre art while waiting to go do law, but later started doing stage acting, before she got her first movie role in 2003 (Thick Madam), after a producer discovered her in an audition.

She has featured in several movies since her emergence into the movie industry, and has made name for herself both home and abroad.

In 2013, she was a judge for the Miss Black Africa UK Pageant, after she was appointed by the United Nations as a United Nations Habitat Youth Envoy.

Ini Edo owns several houses, but the most notable one is in Lekki, which was bought after her divorce, and she is said to be worth at least N500 million.
