Nigeria’s House of Representatives, through its Committee on Justice, Youth, and Legislative Compliance has summoned Naira Marley and Mohbad’s former manager, Jiggy Adeoye over royalties owed to the late singer by the record label.
Azeez Fashola, who is also known as Naira Marley will appear before the house on a date that will be communicated to the public soon, to explain the contractual agreement between both parties.
This move was birthed from the members of the house, as a bid to securing proper compensation and royalties for the late music sensation, who left Marlian Records in a controversial manner last year.
This decision by the house was prompted by a motion sponsored by Rep. Babajimi Benson (APC-Lagos).
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Promise Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, until his death, had a net worth of $30,000, and he was nominated five times for The Beatz Awards.
