Grammy-winning popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed that he turned down a $10 Million offer to perform in Dubai, because he wouldn’t be allowed to smoke weed.
He made this known during a just released viral video, on his official X handle where he said, “Just now I turned down dubai money, 5million dollar na small thing cos me I no dey like to dey go where dem no go gree allow me smoke igbo”.
Emirati law prohibits smoking in parks, beaches and all public recreational areas in Dubai, and Burna Boy is aware of this.
In October, Grammy-winning British singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran revealed in an interview that Burna Boy consumes alot of weed, as he compared him with Snoop Dogg, who is known for his heavy weed intake.
The likes of Wizkid, Olamide, Wande Coal, Naira Marley amongst others, are also known for thier heavy ingestion of weed.
